About the Moline Area Walk for Wishes®
Quad Cities: We invite you to be a part of the Make-A-Wish community as we come together to celebrate the power of a wish!
Every year, nearly 1,200 children in Illinois are newly diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. Make-A-Wish® believes that wishes are an important part of the overall care and treatment of these children. Each wish offers the opportunity for a joyous, life-changing experience.
Who can participate? When you come out to walk, you can dress up in a costume to start the celebration! You can even have an entire team. Grab your family, friends, neighbors, coworkers and others to come out and walk. Wish families can register free of charge, but anyone who wants to walk with us is welcome to attend!
We also are excited to introduce our new Wish Village this year, where everyone can experience a glimpse of the joy from our four most common wish types.
How does this event make a difference? Great question! While fundraising is not required, it is encouraged. Participants can use our online fundraising tools to share with people around the world. Not only can people donate online to your personal or team page, but you can also hold your own fundraising events like a spaghetti dinner or car wash. The cash and checks you raise can be turned in on walk day, and will help us reach our $24,000 goal that will make wishes come true!
A wish experience can truly change a child's life, and so can you.
