Lisette Bishop Walk For Make a Wish Page
Welcome to my personal fundraising page! I have signed up to walk and fundraise for this year’s event because wishes have the power to give children hope, strength and joy when they need it most.
Wishes can increase the physical and emotional well-being of wish kids, and create happy, lifelong memories. In fact, wish experiences are as much about the days that follow, as they are about the wish itself – because the impact of a wish can last forever.
The funds I raise will support the Make-A-Wish® mission to grant the wish of every eligible child who has been diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition.
As my family started a journey this January 2017 with Hailey, my 16 year old daughter, being diagnosed with Stage 1 Ovarian Cancer. Our lives have changed forever. New routines and challenges for everyone. Hailey had surgery to remove her tumor on January 9th. The doctors were able to remove all the cancer and no signs of the cancer spreading. Hailey completed 3 rounds of chemotherapy, consisting of 3 one week stays at the GHS Children's Hospital. We are very blessed that she completed treatments with no setbacks. Hailey has stayed strong through all of it. Hailey was a cheerleader and softball player for Riverside High School. Now Hailey is starting to gain strength and prepare herself for life after treatment.
A wish experience can truly change a child’s life, and so can you. Please support me and donate to my page today.
