Dear Friends and Family,
I am proud to be a part of the DREAM*TEAM of West Michigan. On June 11, I will be competing in the Grand Rapids Triathlon (70.3 half iron distance) to raise money for Make-A-Wish.
Training for, and competing in, this distance will be difficult, however it pales in comparison to the challenges that kids with life-threatening medical conditions face every day, along with their families. As parents to two beautiful and healthy girls, my wife Jennifer and I are thankful to God every day for our many blessings.
I can’t imagine the daily struggles of a child suffering from a life-threatening affliction. Ten years ago we watched our close friends’ son Trevor Van Skiver (SUPER-Trev) battle and beat leukemia. His treatment included multiple surgeries, physical therapy, and over 1000 days of chemotherapy. Trevor and the entire Van Skiver family are inspirations to us!
Fundraising for Make-A-Wish will give me strength while training for the triathlon. Much more important, however, your contribution will help grant a life-changing wish to a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition.
These children deserve their wish! Please consider making a contribution here on my DREAM*TEAM fundraiser page for Make-A-Wish to help make this happen. Thank you for your support!
March Madness. GO DREAM TEAM!!
