You’re probably wondering...What Can I do to help out???

There are many ways you can help. The best way is to help us sell our Make-A-Wish Stars! These will be sold for $5 each and all proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation! You can also participate in any of the ways listed above. Details are below.

Beginning on January 17th, students will try to sell as many $5 Make-A-Wish Stars as they can. By selling these Stars, you are helping make a dream come true in the life of a young person! In doing so, you are also helping out your class, your dodgeball team, and yourself!

Dodgeball Tournament:  This year, there is no cost to you! Instead, we ask that you sell a minimum of 2 Make-A-Wish Stars for $5 each. Form a team of your own or join a team with others! All teams must consist of 4 boys and 4 girls! You also must designate one member as your team captain!  Hurry!! If you form your team quickly, and each player sells at least 2 Stars, each player on your team gets a free colored t-shirt of your team’s color preference.  To get a t-shirt, you must have your team registration and the Stars and money in by Tuesday, January 24th!! The team that sells the most stars (as a team) gets first choice of color! Act fast! We only have room for 16 teams!

Late registration: Teams not wanting free t-shirts have until Monday, February 6th to turn in registration forms with donations and stars. If you don’t want to play dodgeball you can always come watch and cheer on friends! Admission to watch is $5 for adults and $3 for students - under 5 years are free!

Talent Show! Come show it off on our community auditorium stage at the talent show! $2 donation per performer. (Auditions held on Tuesday, Feb 7 from 3:30-6 PM in auditorium) Guest speaker from Make-A-Wish Foundation will speak at beginning of show. Show will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, February 10, 2017! Admission to show is $5 for adults, $3 for students and under 5 years are free!

Do you like Pizza? The advisory classroom that collectively sells the most Make-A-Wish Stars wins a pizza party!!

And finally...

A Dream Come True: Royal Ride Competition

To make the Make-A-Wish fundraiser campaign extra exciting, the top 4 fundraisers from each grade will be rewarded with the grand prize:

  • dinner,

  • a movie

  • a ride around town in a limousine!

Thats right! Step out of school and into the limo in front of friends as the limo picks you up from school, drives you around town, to a restaurant for dinner, then to a movie and finally back to school. All expenses paid! 5th and 6th grade winners will travel together on one day and 7th and 8th grade winners will ride together on another day.  The movie choice will be based on theatre times/availability and will be decided by the grand prize winners.

Student Council members will keep track of Star donations daily and will have updates on our announcements daily! Student council representatives will come around to each advisory every day between now and February 10th! All Star donations must be received by Friday, February, 10, however, the online competition ends at 11:59 PM on Sunday, February 12th!

Help us Help a child like Aydin!

Aydin's parents weren't sure she'd ever speak. Her medical condition came with a long list of possible ways it could impact her life.

Kids like Aydin are the reason I established a Make-A-Wish® fundraising page. I believe that a Make-A-Wish experience can change everything for a child with a life-threatening medical condition.

This is what happened because of Aydin’s wish: People in her community stood together to grant her wish to be a singer. Make-A-Wish arranged photo shoots, time at a recording studio, production of CDs and a debut performance at a local music venue. Aydin's experience gave her a glimpse of what life can hold besides medical treatments and worry. Her wish was a day free from her worries. And it will always help her find courage and optimism to help her overcome challenges in her future.

Please help by contributing any amount you can - $5, $10 $25, $50, $75, $100 or even more. Every dollar you donate can help Make-A-Wish kids renew their courage and find a turning point in their lives.

Thank you for your support!
