Thanks for being our heroes
What do Captain America, Batman and Wonder Woman have in common? They all made an appearance at our 7th Annual Walk For Wishes® event in Salem. More than 500 heroes, big and small, joined us for the hero-themed 5K walk to support our Wish Heroes (local wish kids). Together, we raised more than $65,000 for local children's wishes! Thank you to all who supported the event. We can't wait to see you next year!

Will’s Kid Kave
"Wow! Wicked cool," said 15-year-old Will. From the new TV and reclining chairs, to the popcorn machine and sports memorabilia, Will said his wish to have a "Kid Kave" was everything he wanted and more. Read about how the wish impacted Will and his mom, as well as the local businesses that came together to help make Will's wish come true.

Buy a raffle ticket to support local wishes
For just $30, you have a chance to help make wishes come true. It’s Make-A-Wish® Oregon’s 2nd Annual Wish Upon a Car Raffle. Help Make-A-Wish shine
Throughout the months of May and June, several area restaurants are selling Make-A-Wish paper stars for $1. We invite you to stop by, grab a bite to eat and show your support of this great cause by buying a star. For a list of participating businesses, click here.

Why is a wish important?
A wish come true helps children feel stronger, more energetic, and more willing to battle their life-threatening medical conditions. Most wish recipients say their wish experiences helped to save their lives. In a Wish Impact Study*, 83% of adult former wish recipients say they experienced improved physical health and strength.
