  The healing process

A wish is more than just something that’s nice to have. A wish is often part of the healing process for the entire family. Twelve-year-old James, who suffers from a nervous system disorder, recently returned from his wish trip to Hawaii where he enjoyed playing in the sand and going on a moonlight dinner cruise. “The kindness of all around us was healing and therapeutic after all that we went through,” said his mom. Read about James’ favorite moments and find out how many times he went down the waterslide. A special thanks to our friends at Gemtext for making James’ wish come true.

Gemtext logoGemtext is making a difference for wish kids in our community and you can help! Gemtext recycles ripped or stained clothing, even a single shoe or sock. By dropping off a donation at a nearby Gemtext location, you will help the community reduce trash while making local wishes come true. For every pound of clothing, 2 cents is donated to Make-A-Wish Oregon to help make wishes come true for children like James. For more information, visit gemtextrecycling.com.
